Little Fort Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), based out of Waukegan, Illinois, is a women's lineage society of the descendants of the men and women who served in the American Revolutionary War. To honor their service and memory, members of the chapter participate in numerous community services, particularly causes to aid active military, veterans, historical preservation, conservation, and education.

Little Fort Chapter, NSDAR, began in 1924, as Waukegan Chapter, NSDAR. In 1976, to commemorate our country's bicentennial (200th birthday), the chapter changed its name to the historic Little Fort, Waukegan's original name. Proud of the growth of their community along Lake Michigan's shore and no longer wanting to be characterized as "little," in 1849, the residents changed the name of their town to Waukegan, the Potawatomi word for "fort" or "trading post."
