Fort Payne Chapter, NSDAR, members volunteer thousands of hours to educate the youth of America by supporting a variety of programs, contests, and awards to help further this goal. Fort Payne Chapter, NSDAR, educational activities include:

  • Constitution Week community activities
  • DAR Good Citizens awards to high school seniors
  • DAR American History Essay Contest for students fifth to eighth grade
  • DAR Outstanding Teacher of American History is selected from one local school
  • Daniel Webster Scholarship awarded to high school seniors pursuing in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) field
  • Fort Payne Chapter, NSDAR, Education Scholarship awarded to high school seniors pursuing teaching
  • DAR Community Service Awards are given to community members
