We are part of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s service organization, the DAR was founded in 1890 by women who wanted to honor their heritage and make a difference in their communities. The objectives they set are still ours today:
Any woman 18 or older may join the DAR by documenting her lineage to an ancestor who helped the cause of American independence through military, civil, or patriotic service. You can learn more on the DAR website, or email us and we’ll help you.
Guests are always welcome, whether or not you’re a member. We meet on the fourth Monday of each month from September through April at 7:15 p.m. Meetings include a brief opening ritual, a program or speaker, and a short business meeting. We make sure there’s time for visiting and snacks!
