2019 soldier and sailor reunion
Isaac Hull Chapter served approximately 40 veterans and member Mona Watson led The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America during the Soldier and Sailor Reunion held in Salem, Illinois.

2014 Student Winners
Student Winners


The Isaac Hull Chapter presented a Community Service Award to Steven Smith in recognition of his volunteer activities for active-duty overseas soldiers.  Steve has been sending care packages to the soldiers for the past ten years. Items in the packages include quilts, magazines, snacks, and personal care items.  Thanks to chapter member Susan Burgess for submitting the paperwork for this award

Members had a picnic and sailed on Carlyle Lake.

Salem Strings

Isaac Hull Chapter held a 225th birthday celebration for the Constitution, at the Salem Presbyterian Church. Several keynote speakers were on hand to celebrate one of our nations most sacred documents:  Salem Mayor John Raymor; Miss Marion County Ashton Burroughs;  Mike Hall from Congressman John Shimkus' office; and John Cavaletto. Cupcakes and punch were served. Music was provided by  the St Theresa School Chorale and the Salem Strings.

Naturalization Ceremony
Isaac Hull Chapter members, along with Daughters from other Southern Illinois chapters, attended a Naturalization Ceremony in O'Fallon, Illinois. New citizens were presented U.S. Flags, U.S. Flag Codes, and other items to celebrate their status as new citizens.

State Conference
Chapter members attend state conference. Those in white are pages. Pages serve as hostesses, errand-runners, personal assistants, and flag-bearers. Paging is an excellent way to learn about the work of the DAR.


Women Veterans

The Isaac Hull Chapter had this float in the parade held before the dedication of the monument honoring women veterans in Mount Vernon.

Statue Dedication
The chapter was well represented at the statue dedication.  Here they are shown with Illinois Congressman John Shimpkus.
