Fort Payne DAR Chapter

Any woman is eligibile for membership who is no less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death.

Becoming a member of the National Society Daughters of The American Revolution is a multi-step process. The first step is to find your lineage by filling out a simple pedigree chart. The next step is to identify your patriot ancestors. You should begin the application process by contacting the Fort Payne Chapter, attending a few meetings, and completing the application worksheet. By attending chapter meetings you will meet other DAR members who will assist you in obtaining your DAR membership.
