Welcome
to the Elias Kent Kane Chapter of NSDAR. This site was created
for people like you, who are either already a member of the
DAR or looking for information on how to become a member.
The
DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C.,
is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women's service
organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, historic preservation,
and education.
Each
member of DAR has done an extensive genealogy search to identify
her patriot ancestor, and has been asked to join the DAR by
the local chapter. The local chapter can help prospective
members search for information on their family trees.
The
Elias Kent Kane Chapter is lucky to have several members,
who are involved in numerous genealogical societies, to help
wade through the vast ocean of historical documents to find
the specific documents for each ancestor. |
